I haven’t been to Brooklyn for a while. When I was in Europe it was great to see so many young people interested again. If it changes or helps improve only one person’s life it is worth it.

have u seen nyc on the les or williamsburg in brooklyn? i left nyc 20 yrs ago when the gentrification strted on the les. when they closed tompkins square park the riots began, i lived btwn b and c on 4th street. i didnt miss one riot. i was so fuckin angry! but it did not change anything. seems that money is the only thing that counts. nomore anarchist bookshop where i would bring my vegan cupcakes for my family. nomore cbgbs. nomore anything. but things seem to be changing again. i still remember screaming in my room when i was sixteen “do they owe us a living, sure they fuckin do!
